But the specific nature of this network — what these shops can and can't do, whether they stock Lectric parts, and how many of the 500+ are actually in Canada — requires closer examination.


What We Could Verify

When we investigated Lectric's actual Canadian service infrastructure, the picture looked quite different from what the marketing suggests.

Key finding: Lectric does not appear to operate any company-owned service centres in Canada. The "Lectric Garage" — their dedicated, in-house service facility — is located in Phoenix, Arizona only. Canadian service is handled entirely through a network of independent third-party bike shops that have partnered with Lectric. The number of these partners actually located in Canada, versus the total "500+" figure that includes US shops, is not clearly specified.

This distinction — between company-owned service facilities and independent partner shops — is significant. Lectric's headquarters and all of their direct operations are in the United States. Their support team operates from the US. Their parts warehouse is in the US. When you contact Lectric for service, you're dealing with a US company that will either ship parts to you cross-border or direct you to a nearby partner shop — if one exists in your area.

We also found no evidence of Lectric maintaining a Canadian parts inventory or distribution centre. Replacement parts ordered through Lectric ship from US locations, which means cross-border shipping times, potential customs delays, and applicable duties on replacement components.
