If you are looking for the perfect commuter that can be versatile and fit your busy lifestyle - getting an e-scooter would be a great solution. In this blog, we will compare two high-level models of e-scooters: Ninebot Kickscooter Max G30P from Segway and ENVO electric scooter E50. They are light, offer a good range, and require little maintenance. Besides - no more looking for a parking spot in a busy town like Vancouver; scooters are easily foldable, convenient to store, and much lighter than most e-bikes.

Both MaxG30 and E50, will give you a fun long ride and effortless hill climbing. They are user-friendly and can comfortably fit i any daily routine. Let's find out what is different and what makes these two scooters the best. We will compare these e-scooters in a ten-metric chart to help you decide.

Style and design

Both electric scooters have an excellent slim design with integrated front and brake lights, fenders on both wheels and kickstands. They are also easy to fold and transport.

Kickscooter Max has just one colour option - stylish matte black with orange reflectors on the rims and sides of the frame.

Electric scooter Envo E50 offers more variants: grey and black are available online, and a limited edition of orange, blue and Red Oxford are available for in-store purchases only.

The Ninebot Kickscooter Max weighs 19.1 kg (42.1 lbs), Envo E50 is a little bit heavier - 21 kg (46.2 lbs).

It is easy to transport them, using the stem like a handle, so you can carry your e-scooter on public transport or using stairs.

Performance and Range

Getting an electric scooter is essential to consider the range on which it can go. It will also depend on multiple factors such as terrain, rider weight, hills and other conditions, but here are the average numbers:

Kickscooter Max comes with a 350W motor and can offer a range of up to 65 km (40.4 mi) on a single charge. The maximum speed is 30 kph (18.6 mph). This e-scooter also has regenerative braking and an overcharging protection system. Max G30 can climb hills with up to 20% incline.

E50 from Envo has a more powerful motor - 500W with a maximum speed of 32 kph (20 mph). The scooter will go for a shorter distance - 50 km (31 mi) but will climb steeper hills - up to 25% slope, so almost every path is open for exploring.

Control and Monitoring

For monitoring information about your ride e-cooters, Max G30 and Envo E50 are equipped with control displays. You can set ride modes using a keypad panel and change them as you see fit. Scooters also have walking assist and cruise-control modes, which means you can press the button once and relax for the rest of the trip. To activate Kickskooter Max, you must download the app on your phone, connect the electric scooter and the mobile through Bluetooth and follow the instructions for a fun and safe ride.

Battery

In the case of the Ninebot Max G30, the nominal voltage is 36 V, while the ENVO electric scooter has a nominal voltage of 48 V. However, when it comes to capacity, the Ninebot Max G30 has an advantage with a battery capacity of 551 Wh, compared to 500 Wh for the ENVO. Both batteries have protection systems to prevent overheating, short-circuiting, and overcharging. The ENVO electric scooter battery management system includes additional features such as temperature anomaly protection, over-discharge protection, and under-charge auto-sleep.

Braking Performance

For maximum stopping power, the e-scooter from Envo uses top of a line mechanical disk brake system with a 140 mm rotor on the rear wheel and a drum brake on the front. You can easily adjust mechanical disc brakes for optimal braking performance in different riding conditions.

The Ninebot KickScooter MAX has a front-wheel mechanical drum brake and a back-wheel regenerative electric brake. Collected from regenerative braking, this power is then distributed for use whenever you need a boost.

Suspension

One notable difference between the ENVO and Ninebot e-scooters is that the Envo e-scooter has duo suspension systems: suspension forks at the front and rear. This feature will help you to get the maximum out of each ride and smooth out rough roads improving your comfort. Suspension systems can also help handle the e-scooter, especially at higher speeds. The Ninebot electric scooter does not have suspension forks or rear suspension, which may make a ride on rough or uneven terrain less soft and comfortable. Overall, including suspension forks and rear suspension on the ENVO e-scooter may make it a more appealing choice for those prioritizing comfort and stability.

Requirements for the Rider

Both the Ninebot and ENVO e-scooters have some specific requirements for their riders. First, you must be at least 14 years old to operate both e-scooters legally. Also, in terms of height, you need to be between 120 and 200 cm tall (3'11" - 6'6"). The Ninebot Max G30 has a recommended payload of up to 100 kilograms (220.5 lbs). The ENVO electric scooter can accommodate riders up to 120 kilograms (264.5 lbs), so a broader range of people can enjoy the E50 electric scooter.
