BionX battery repair or refurbish
EbikeBC can repair or refurbish BionX batteries as well as all other electric bicycle batteries. We will have various solutions for older ebikes battery replacement including BionX battery; either by installation of cased battery packs or refurbishing the existing battery case. You need to send us the existing battery and charger so that we test and refurbish with a similar or better capacity and performance using 18650 Li-Ion Cells from Samsung, LG or Panasonic.
BionX battery management system is integrated with the ebike control system. In order to guarantee the result We need to have the complete battery, controller, motor system to test before and after battery cells replacement.
All the battery packs are protected by BMS for over current, under voltage, charging over voltage, cells voltage balance to ensure the safety and durability of the battery pack.
In order to check out feasibility or getting a cost estimate you need to send the following details:
- 1- Brand (e.g. BionX)
- 2- Voltage and Capacity (e.g. 48V 8.8Ah)
- 3- Problem description
- 4- Picture of the battery
- 5- Picture of the charger specification label

Hi
I have a bionx 37v 9.6 amps with bms
I let it uncharge to much, and did not find where the batterie alarm was from, tough it was my wifi router 🙂
So basically the battery still work but don’t show the power on the console , it’s discharge faster than before and the regenerative mode doesn’t work either
What could be the price range to fix ?
Thank you

Unfortunately we don’t have access to controllers and software to fix this issue.

We may be able to replace the internal pack, you need to deliver battery and charger to us. Also make sure the controllers are all functional since we cannot replace or repair BionX controller boards.

I have a Schwinn Invidia . I went to use it this spring and nothing even though the batteries show charged. The switches all check out. It has 2battery packs. Each pack has 2 UB12100-ASk Universal Batterry. Other info on it is 12100. 12 v, 10Ah.
Can batteries be defected even though showing a charge.

You need to check batteries with Voltmeter to measure Voltage. Yet you cannot confirm the battery health unless you test it under a consumer load similar to your ebike current rating. There might be disconnection, fuses or broken controllers if batteries are fine. Never judge battery condition by charger indicators. They may show full when battery is dead.
You need to take the system to an electrician.

Technically doable, but too risky. We may be stuck if we lose any of the electronic circuit boards by any mistake.

I have a 2019 RadRover bike. The battery ran down after being used for only 623km because it was left after the owner died. Can you bring it back to life? And how much would it cost?

There might be a chance to revive the battery pack, if the cells are not seriously harmed.

My wife has a Toba Edwin with a 37V bionx battery (looks like a proprietary case for the bike manufacturer, but everything else is Bionx). Get a red flashing light turning to solid red when hooking up to charger and “POWR PROT” on the screen. Tried to pedal to recharge enough so the charger works like the bicycle shop showed me and nothing. Options on this?
