We’re thrilled to share some exciting news — the BC E-Bike Rebate Program is officially back for 2025! After strong demand and overwhelming public interest, the Province of British Columbia has extended this popular initiative to help more residents shift toward cleaner, more sustainable transportation.

This program is part of the Province’s broader CleanBC goals, designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote healthier, more active lifestyles. E-bikes offer a powerful and practical alternative to car trips. They’re faster and more accessible than traditional bicycles, allowing riders to travel greater distances without breaking a sweat. For urban commuters, weekend explorers, and everyone in between, e-bikes are a game changer — and now, they're more affordable than ever.
How the Rebate Works
Rebates are awarded based on individual income, making the program inclusive and supportive of households who may need it most. The full list of income thresholds is below:
| Tier | Income Requirement | Rebate |
| Tier 1 | Less than $38,950 | $1,400 |
| Tier 2 | $38,950 to $51,130 | $1,000 |
| Tier 3 | $51,131 and over | $350 |
Examples:

If your income is under $38,950, you're eligible for a $1,400 rebate.

If your income is between $38,951 and $51,130, you’ll receive a $1,000 rebate.

If your income is $51,131 or higher, you qualify for a $350 rebate.
Note: To be eligible, the e-bike you purchase must have a minimum pre-tax price of $2,000. You can view a list of eligible bikes here.
However, there’s one important detail to note: rebates will only be offered to those currently on the waitlist. If you’ve already signed up, keep an eye on your inbox. Invitations to apply will be sent out in the order names were added to the list, and only while funding is available. That means not everyone on the list is guaranteed a rebate, but early birds certainly have a better shot.

There’s still time! If you haven’t added your name to the BC E-Bike Rebate Program waitlist, you can do so here. Signing up only takes a few minutes, and while it’s not an application for the rebate itself, it’s the first and essential step.
Be sure to fill out the form accurately with your name, address, and email. Only one entry per person is allowed, and duplicates will be automatically removed — so submit once and patiently wait for confirmation. Most importantly, make sure to add info@bcebikerebates.ca to your safe senders list so you don’t miss a potential invitation email.
